Dr. Victoria Nolasco

Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician

Dr. Victoria Nolasco is a developmental and behavioral pediatrician, clinical associate professor of pediatrics, and a certified positive discipline parent coach. For the past ten years, she has been working with children with special needs and their families. She also teaches medical students, pediatric residents, and developmental pediatricians-in-training.
She is also the mom of a toddler. Since becoming a mom, she decided to cut back on her medical practice, and she is now a work-from-home mom. She knows firsthand what it is like to be a busy mom. She saw how mom life had gotten so complicated, with all that the internet, social media, and others are saying. She also noticed that there are so many misconceptions about child development which make moms so stressed and guilty, and which make mom life more difficult than it should be.
Because of this, Dr. Victoria felt called to use her professional training and experience, as well as her own experiences as a mom, to help other moms with their parenting journey. She founded her blog, Effective Mommy (effectivemommy.com), which helps moms navigate the toddler years. She also co-founded the blog Dev Peds Village (devpedsvillage.com) – an online nurturing child development community for parents of young kids. Her mission for both blogs is to help moms cut through the noise and go straight to accurate and practical information for parenting and mom life.

Moira Cleary

Professionally Certified Life Coach + Mindfulness Practitioner

“I am a Professionally Certified Life Coach + Mindfulness Practitioner, and mom of two beautiful, smart, funny teenagers who both live with often debilitating chronic invisible conditions.

Over the years I have depended on support groups for information, camaraderie, and guidance. However, while in a downward spiral these were not what I needed. I needed help keeping my head above water. When I went looking, I didn’t need a parenting coach. I didn’t need a therapist. I needed a life coach who got the struggles I was going through. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any. This was a gap I saw in the current structure.

Once my feet were back under me, I realized as a coach, I was in a unique position to be this for other women. At that moment I decided to make it my mission to help mothers find their strength so that they can show up for themselves and their families the way they want to, not just with the leftovers.”
